Jacob Delamarter (Barbara's Great-Grandfather) enlisted 8/26/1862 in the Pennsylvania Volunteer 141st Infantry, Company H.  On Thursday July 2, 1863 at Gettysburg he was fatality wounded at the Peach Orchard battlefield.

John Harrison Sheldon (Bob's Great-Grandfather) enlisted 8/30/1862 in the Michigan 6th Cavalry Regiment, Co. L and was discharged on 7/1/1865.

William B. Brooks  1827 - 5/11/1870 (Barbara's Great-Great-Grandfather) enlisted 8/18/1862 in the Michigan 20th Infantry, Co. K and was discharged on 6/5/1865.

Gottfried Gauss  9/29/1833 - 11/16/1911 (Barbara's Great-Grandfather) enlisted 5/1/1861 in the 1st Michigan Infantry Company E in the "3 month volunteer" program. His unit fought in the Battle of Bull Run. He mustered out 8/7/1861.  He received a Civil War pension.

David Emery Grubb  3/1/1844 - 5/11/1926 (Eric's 3rd Great Grandfather) enlisted 7/23/1861 as a Private in Company B, Virginia 29th Infantry Regiment.  He fought on the Confederate side.  He was 5 ft 8 in, light complexion, grey eyes, dark hair. David is buried in the Chambersville Cemetery, Gosport, Owen, Indiana.

George Washington Depue  3/5/1819 - 1/31/1898 (Eric's 3rd Great Grandfather) Civil War Soldier. Enlisted as a Private in Company E, 11th Infantry Regiment Indiana on 31 August 1861. Reenlisted in Company E 11th Infantry Regiment Indiana on 1 Feb 1864. Mustered out Company E 11th Infantry Regiment Indiana on 26 July 1865 in Baltimore Maryland.
